A fun adventure for the family, the cool and hilly area of Kiulu is locatedabout 45 minutes drive 60 Km north east of Kota Kinabalu. From the famous Jambatan Tamparuli (Tamparuli hanging bridge), you continue uphill for most of the drive to view breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kinabalu at the second most beautiful village in Malaysia.
The drive provides the opportunity to enjoy scenic sights such as the Kiulu River, known to all white water rafters in Sabah, as well as terraced padi fields in various sizes. The Kiulu River is graded as Class I – II river is safe enough for children and gentle enough for the elderly.
Trip begins with a safety briefing session conducted by our professional raft guide that will demonstrates rafting techniques and proper handling of rafting equipment before rafting commences.
Excursion covers up to 15km, making it the longest white water rafting trip in Borneo. The journey will take about 1 ½ – 2 hours of rafting before reaching the ending point where delicious barbecue lunch prepared just by the riverbank.
