About 20 minutes travel by vehicle and on foot from Poring Hot Springs, this is a pure bareback jungle retreat centre. If authentic ‘rainforest’ lifestyle is what you are looking for, then this is the spot. The place is located absolutely nearby Jungle Reserves within Kinabalu Parks, so there is a lot to offer in terms of flora and fauna. Although larger creatures like Orang Utans and Pygmy Elephants are not available here, you are more than well-treated with a fantastic array of macro wildlife. The resort is cushioned among a slightly dense rainforest, with almost virtually limited urban comforts.

Nature lovers and those who simply wanted something non-typical will find this rewarding. Activity wise, there are jungle trails to trek as well as great cool rivers to dip into otherwise you could just immerse yourself with the sounds and sights the place has to offer. Leeches seems to be part of life here although harmless, they may not appeal to some. Take note that the place is managed by passionate people who worked hard to bring us a truly unique experience that is trully opposite of what urban areas offered. Minutes away from the white shorelines and azure waters, stay in a traditional Runggus Longhouse ideal for group trips. Linked with a turtle hatchery, your stay will directly help the village’s conservation efforts. Less than RM100 a night, including all meals.
